sculptures, like the cycle "Projection of Natural Form With the Aid of
Geometry," herald a whole program of attempting to discover geometrical
designs in nature and integrate them into compositions. In this way, in
the pursuit of new forms of expressions, Bata Marianov reached the conclusion
set out in Rodin's Testament Artistique: "Geometry is present in Nature". Nature
is the supreme architect. Everything therein is built with absolute equilibrium,
everything is inscribed in a triangle, a cube or one of their variants. |

Bata
Marianov studied the relationship between container and content. His cycle
"Bark and Kernel", (Landscape Topography and Pseudo-Studies) illustrate
the hard, expressive beauty of his work.
