Marianov,
Bata. sculptor and painter. Born April 23, 1943, Timisoara, Romania. In
1970, graduated from Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts, Bucharest,
and taught up to 1973 sculpture at the Timisoara School of Arts. In 1969,
his first one-person show in Bucharest, subsequently many other shows in
Romania and abroud.
Participated in group exhibitions
in Romania, France, Spain, Yugoslavia, Slovenia, Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, Canada,
and in various other Sculpture Symposiums. In 1985, left Romania to settle
in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

His works are
in private collections, and on open air sites in Romania, Italy, Poland,
Yugoslavia, Germany, Canada, USA, etc. Lives and works in Frankfurt am

In 1996, Bata
Marianov founded the International Sculpture Symposium
( S.I.S.), a yearly month long event taking
place at Garana, the pitoresque village in the Banatian Mountains, Romania.
Artists from all over the
world are invited to apply for participation.
They are given the opportunity
to create monumental works that will be placed in the open air permanent
sculpture park |
